The show has had secrets revealed late to the viewers before.
There are rumours of family connections and so on.
I've kept wondering more generally with the show and all the versions about stuff like having a secret traitor or other rug pull aspects for the viewers.
Feels like something will be suddenly revealed. But what?

I can't tell you. It's a secret.

If there is another secret family / relationship connection there is a real risk of it being pointless the longer it stays secret. Ie if one of the family is voted off the whole thing is finished and as a viewer the fun is in watching and spotting the little looks etc as well as enjoying the double game play. So think it’s unlikely at this stage although some of the guys really look alike!

Happy to be proven wrong on this one but I don't think there's going to be any secrets revealed this time around, I think as far as personal connections to other players go, the sisters were it.
As far as I know the latest we got a reveal was Ross and Diane being mum and son but that was still revealed relatively early on in Series 2, so if there hasn't been any shocking twist at this point I'm not convinced we're getting one.

I spent some time convinced that Freddie was Frankie's son but that theory was blown when he revealed that he's an only child. Frankie has four sons, I believe. Also, she voted for him to be banished at one of the round tables!

I hope there aren’t any more family relationships going forward. It was fun when it was Diane and Ross, but trying to replicate that is annoying.

I was also thinking it might be a bit late and also a family connection or even partners might feel repetitive. I keep waiting for a secret traitor but not sure how that could work. There are a few options though. People who look similar and so on. It could also be a bit of a double bluff. Get people speculating. I just have a feeling there will be something though.

There have been no secrets? There was the one familial one, but still plenty more liars in the group of Faithful.
As of the end of episode 6, there is: one woman still pretending to be Welsh; one woman who arrived dressed like Barbie, still claiming to be a nail technician but is actually a soldier; a woman concealing that she's a priest (now revealed); and two sisters (revealed on the train)
Charlotte managed to deceive a Welsh linguist; I don't see any reason for Leanne to reveal her deception; I think Lisa revealing she's been ordained was a mistake - she should have stuck with "I've always been a religious person and my faith is very important to me", IMHO); and the sisters revealed their relationship on the train on the basis that it was obvious as they looked and sounded so similar and if you're exposed later, it could prove fatal.
Diane and Ross never did reveal their relationship during the game. That's what made all the diary room comments - particularly when Diane revealed it, Ross's pointed question to the traitors about "why did you murder ... Diane, for instance?" Ross's comments about his mother's cooking and the sneaky looks and winks to the camera so entertaining.

I thought I had been clear I meant secret from the audience. For instance, Diane and Ross was revealed (to the audience) but was initially a secret. From the viewers. There may not be one but secrets within the game are different. Especially when the game is literally built upon secrets.
I suppose part of this could be around editing though. Some stuff could be kept from the audience but there was no point with stuff like the Welsh accent as she probably will never be exposed etc.

I've always found the secrets themselves fairly irrelevant as they had zero direct impact on the game as such (no secret traitor, no person that for some reason had a built-in shield or the like) - they are obviously a good vehicle for creating agitated debate amongst the contestants and sowing the seeds of mistrust.
And they create Big-Brotheresqure drama (do I remember it correctly in the first series that one Faithful had a crush on another who then turned out to be in a relationship with someone else in the castle, which was kept from the contestants?)

Ah, sorry, I'd misunderstood your comment. I agree.
It's getting to the point now where there's no benefit from withholding anything like that from the viewers as there's so little time left.

On Wednesday, there were two players sitting next to each other and I thought they looked alike, they also have a similar walk and mannerisms. One of them has drawn a lot of attention while the other has stayed in the background and this was the first time I had noticed them together.
woolly hat wearer Alex and the Revd Lisa

No worries and it does feel maybe a bit late now although perhaps even happening late could work.
I also agree with the other comment that it isn't crucial for the game itself but think it can add something for the viewers. Kind of a meta aspect where we also get tricked.
I doubt it will be the case but I saw suggestions there could be multiple secrets. Such as multiple pairs hidden. One obvious issue though is having to always ramp it up which eventually isn't possible. I suppose we will see but I still have this feeling something will be revealed.
